OK, I admit ia ma kinda lazy to blog, so, I just copy and paste one of my friend's article here, his insight of 'happiness':
Happiness
A usual cliche question: What is happiness?
Though cliche, such a question won't fail to capture my observative mind. I don't know what some of the answers are, but i have heard of some like " Happy lorh.", "Following your dreams.", "When i get what i want." Well, i have thought long enough about this and this is my answer: "It is a measurement of how much sadness you have gone through." Go n define sad yourself, or else i will type till my fingers grow blisters n tumours.
Eh!??! How can happiness be sad? Calm down, read on..
I always say this: The opposite will not exist if its counterpart doesn't exist in the first place. Too chim? Here's an analogy. How would you define happiness if there is no sadness to oppose it? Imagine this: If everyday you are leading a so-called happy life, won't it actually be normal to lead such a "happy" life? You need sadness to show happiness in life. So, the more unhappy you are, the happier you will be when something great occurs to you.
Let's illustrate some examples. Supposed you want to get an MP3 (funny.. how come its this example again..), there r 3 ways you can get it. 1) your parents or whoever just give it to u. 2) Get it from your parents with strings attached. 3)Blast through the torturous life saving any penny you have to get one MP3 yourself. Assuming that sadness is equilivant to the degree of pain and suffering that you have gone through, can you now guess in which situation will you be happier when you finally get the MP3?

Without sadness, u cant know happiness, and vice versa. So, what I feel is, yes, all of us will be sad for lots of time within our lifetime, however, it is also this sadness that make us treasure our happiness more. So, smile:)
